Commit to Owning Your Time and Owning Your Dreams

Hello lovelies,

Do you wish you had more time? Well, wouldn’t you know that the GLOW Method can help you find the solution.

If you’re like many of the women I work with the answer is, “yes, I’d love more time!” We want more time to do the things that we love, but it’s also about having more time so we can do things at a slower pace.

Time is our greatest resource and yet so many of us give it away let’s there’s an endless supply.

And that’s why we need to Own It, the third principles in the GLOW Method.

What does Own It Really Mean?

When you own something, you put a metaphorical stake in the ground and say THIS IS MINE.

Here are some common examples:

  • This is what I want
  • This is my problem to solve
  • This is how I feel
  • This is how I want to be treated
  • This is my voice and it has power
  • I have power

Here’s another way to think about it: if “letting go” is about dropping our attachment to the things we can’t control then “owning it” is all about embracing what we can.

How Does It Work?

The moment we decide to own something, we can take action on it.

Think about it, if I think it’s someone else’s fault that I’m stuck in a bad friendship then I’m not likely to do anything about it. Conversely, if I own the fact that I can only be in relationships that I choose then I can take action and make a new choice. It’s on my to-do list now.

Ownership = Action

How to Do It

It’s simple. Identify the thing you want (time, money, connection). Then, ask yourself if there’s anything you could possibly do to get it. If not, then you’re in someone else’s business and let it go, but if you can think of just one thing then that means you can affect change and you should stick your stake in the ground and claim the thing you want.

Back to Time

If you really want more hours in your day then you need to take responsibility for that. It’s up to you to change the way you think about time. It’s about making different choices about how you use time. It’s about changing your time mindset.

If you’d like help doing that, check out this new FREE resource I created. It’s a masterclass on time management and it works if you’re willing to own your power to create change.

Once you own your time and commit to guarding it fiercely, you can start to achieve the dream of doing things you love at a pace that is sane. You will have created space for all that’s good.

Make it a great week!
