3 Tips for a Beautiful Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. No matter what your to-do list looks like, you need the energy to be at the top of your game and keep striving toward that elusive life balance.

If you’re anything like me, you sometimes struggle to shove something nutritious into your mouth before you run out the door. While, of course, there is always time for coffee, sometimes it’s just too easy to skip breakfast altogether. GASP, I know!

I’m trying to get better, and so should you. That’s why I want to share my favorite easy, nutritious and energy-packed breakfast ideas to help you get down to business and straight up conquer your day… or at least, until lunchtime!

  • Simple Smoothie

  • Sometimes, you just gotta throw some stuff in the blender and press start. However, without the right combination of ingredients, you can end up with insufferable sludge; something I’ve done one too many times.

    Keep it simple and remember 1 cup each of these three things: 2 different fruits, and yogurt. Of course, you can get fancy and sprinkle in some cinnamon for taste and protein powder for a little boost, but I like to keep things as simple as possible before noon.

  • Incredible Edible Egg

  • How great are eggs? They are so versatile and fit perfectly with my easy breakfast policy. When you need the energy to get through a jam-packed morning, you need to get your protein fix. Simply crack two eggs in a greased frying pan on medium-low heat until thickened.

    You can add your eggs to a breakfast sandwich, or simply salt and pepper and eat on their own. Voila!

  • Tried and True Toast

  • There is nothing quite as easy as popping a couple slices of your favorite nutritious bread in the toaster while you put on your makeup in the morning! Make it interesting and pick up some whole grain bread at the grocery store in a variety of flavor options. I’m talking cinnamon, raisins and anything else you can find to shake up your day.

    And, when it comes to spreads, the options are endless. Jam and peanut butter; even smashed avocado! Wrap it in a paper towel and eat it on the way to work.

    As you can see, there is no excuse to go without breakfast. It can be a challenge to form this health habit, but come on, Happy Gracers… if I can do it, so can you.

    There’s no denying it: an energized and satisfied you is a beautiful you!
